C.S. Lewis on the Numinous

“There seem, in fact, to be only two views we can hold about awe. Either it is a mere twist in the human mind, corresponding to nothing objective and serving no biological function, yet showing no tendency to disappear from that mind at its fullest development in poet, philosopher, or saint: or else it is a direct experience of the really supernatural, to which the name Revelation, might properly be given.”

--C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain.

C.G. Jung on Socialism

"Naturally the present tendency to destroy all tradition or render it unconscious could interrupt the normal process of development for several hundred years and substitute an interlude of barbarism. Wherever the Marxist utopia prevails, this has already happened...Loss of roots and lack of tradition neuroticize the masses and prepare them for collective hysteria. Collective hysteria calls for collective therapy, which consists in abolition of liberty and terrorization. Where rationalistic materialism holds sway, states tend to develop less into prisons than into lunatic asylums.”

--C.G. Jung, Aion.

Pursuing Knowledge as an Individual

Oracles exist so that priests can control whole populations. The Greek oracle was the tool of the priesthood, who conveniently served as interpreters of her words to kings.

The priests of the Christian Church once kept Bibles chained to pulpits. This made them the only ones with access and thus the ability to interpret scriptures.

There is obviously something very powerful in pursuing divine or sacred knowledge as an individual. It is this power that elites have always feared.

About Paradigms...

2/6/2019

Paradigms are the product of life. As life changes, so too do paradigms. If growth is natural, then it is only natural that paradigms crumble and fall over time.

In truth, it is the attempt to save a paradigm once it is outmoded that is the most unnatural act of all.

Power.

You may believe that you have no power.
That you could never be
a force of influence
or
an agent of positive change.
But indeed,
you wield immense power every day.

Picture

You are
l i t e r a l l y,
a living battery of energy.
Picture
The problem is, your energy is directed to
achieving the aims of the system.
Your job, career, social role has been tailored
so that your power
is harnessed
by the system
Picture
and directed according to the will of those who control you
(rather than your true purpose for living.)
Picture

Be bold.

Walk out of your assigned role. Reject the “purpose” given to you by the system.

Discover the true reason you exist within yourself.

Picture
When you devote your power–your energy–to accomplishing the goals of your heart, you will wield a power mightier than a thousand New World Orders.
You may invite your friends and family to walk out of the system with you.
Perhaps you will inspire others to abandon the system with your own work.
Eventually,
(if enough individuals walk out),
Picture
the machine
will no longer have enough
cogs to continue operating
–and will be consigned to the same dust bin of history
where now languish
the empires of the past.
